Terms and conditions
1. Definitions
The Client: The pet owner, Veterinary practice or third party acting on behalf of the pet owner whose order for the services is accepted by The Meadows.
Contract: the agreement for the supply of Services by The Meadows agreed by the parties.
The Meadows: The Meadows Pet Crematorium, Easthampnett Farm. Easthampnett Lane, Easthampnett, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0JY
2. Contract
These terms shall apply to all supplies of the services by The Meadows to the client. No order of the client shall be binding and no contract shall arise until the Clients order is accepted by The Meadows or by The Meadows supplying any of the services.
3. Risk and property
Risk of loss or damage to any goods shall pass to the client at the time of supply of the goods, ownership of any goods shall pass to the Client only on receipt by The Meadows of the full charges for the goods and other costs due from the Client under all contracts. The Meadows does not accept any responsibility or liability for any belongings or possessions sent with your pet that you wish to be returned on collection or delivery of ashes.
4. Payment
4.1 Payment is due within 7 days after collection or return of ashes.
4.2 The client shall be responsible for any costs incurred in the recovery of late payments.
5: Non collection
The Meadows reserves the right to dispose of paid or unpaid goods (including but not limited to ashes) 12 months from the supply of the goods. Unclaimed ashes will be scattered or disposed of appropriately.
6: Guarantee
6.1 The Meadows will comply with the code of Practice of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria.
6.2 The Meadows will only cremate one pet alone within an enclosed chamber and will collect the ashes before the next cremation. The Meadows guarantees all pets will be treated with respect and dignity at all times and that the ashes returned to the Client will be all and only those of the Client.
7: Data protection
The Meadows will collect, hold and process personal data about you to provide our services to you. We will process your personal data in accordance with all applicable data protection legislation.
8: Force majeure
The Meadows shall have the right to suspend or cancel the Contract due to any circumstances beyond The Meadows reasonable control, including industrial disputes, failure, or delay from suppliers.
